Follow these simple steps and you'll transform your boring style into Charlie's cute artsy look. It is just as simple as that, so fret no more and take charge of your wardrobe, it might just change more than the way you look.
Steps
-
Charlie is all about enhancing her strongest assets. Look at yourself and decide what your best features are.(Don't try to copy other people's looks, but rather focus on whatever your strongest assets are.) It might be your beautiful eyes, perfect smile, perky freckles, or super smooth hair. Just find whatever you have and enhance that by thinking about how to make that part of you stand out even more. Remember beauty is as varied as all the different flowers that grow on this planet! You too are beautiful, whether you think that or not!
-
Enhance the features you don't like about your look and be proud of your looks. Charlie too, like everybody else, probably has things she doesn't like about her look or that isn't "in style" at the moment, but she doesn't hide it. For example; She has red hair, but works with it. Stop hiding the parts that you don't like about yourself (probably the things you left out when you read the first step.) Hiding makes you ugly. Being proud of yourself and showing what you have is what will make you special.
-
Choose clothing and colors that reflect you. Charlie uses her dressing style to tell people who she is. She's an artist and designer and that is reflected in those colorful and detailed pieces that she wears. But here, once again she chooses colors that look good on her, rather than what's hot this season. Since she has red hair and green eyes, she picks clothes that looks good with those colors. She likes orange, berry, hot pink, yellow, red, lime, and dove blue. Pick colors that suites you!
-
Wear cute, not to plain clothing. She wears a lot of very girlish, whimsical dresses and skirts, and cardigans with butterflies or buttons or a little something special here and there. Remember to look for pieces that have that little extra detail, or pattern. Never buy anything too plain. You can find those pieces at stores like Marshall's, H&M or Value City or thrift-stores or second hand shops.
-
Look for any items with Bohemian or Mexican patterns. She also likes to carry those bohemian bags à la Mexico pattern and simple totes with prints. Keep in mind patterns and keep a lookout for those at yard-sales and second-hand shops.
-
Accessorises are also very important to Charlie. Since she designs her own jewelry, she wears really bold necklaces and bracelets and earrings. Look for pieces that inspires you and goes with your outfits. Hanging earrings are a must and beads are also great for achieving this look. Or make your own pieces. There are a lot of shops now that sells beads and pearls and everything that you need to get started.
