If you are transgender, it can be difficult to dress like a girl. However, you can make it easier in a few steps.
Steps
-
Take a look at yourself. What features do you consider to be feminine? what features are more manly? You will need to bring out the feminine parts and hide the masculine.
-
Look at your age. If you have not yet hit puberty, you my want to see a doctor to delay it or alter it. In some places, it is possible to get injections of estrogen; which will stop the male parts (such as muscly legs and your Adam's apple) from showing. This will also show a more feminine body. It is advisable to see your doctor to see what is available for you.
-
Get the right clothes. Shop in the female sections, you want things to be a little tighter than you would normally wear, but not too tight as to show a manly figure. good and safe options are skinny jeans, pretty tops and hoodies.
- Many transgender people do make the mistake of buying very trashy and tight dresses which makes it very obvious that you are a guy. Most women wear comfortable, but nice looking clothing.
-
Do your hair. Hair is simple, let it grow say, mid length, and ask your hairdresser for a girly hair-cut. Keep it in good condition and experiment with styles to wear it up in.
-
Do not wear too much makeup. Just a little mascara, eyeliner and lip balm. Most girls wear minimal make-up and transgender people often wear too much, making themselves look very stereotypical and look like a woman at all.
-
Alter your voice. When altering your voice, do not try too hard; just lift your voice a little higher. Record yourself talking and play it back to yourself to hear what you sound like.
