How to Dress Like a Girly Skater

Skating is a large subculture that embraces all types, men, women, young, and old. Becoming a skater doesn't mean you need to leave behind your roots, though. You can maintain your girly image as well as embrace the skating style.

Steps

  1. Dress right. Your outer appearance says a lot about who you are. So you can start with mixing elements of girly with elements of skater. One day, you can wear skirt, vans, and a beanie. Other days, you can wear skinny jeans, ballet flats, and a dark hoodie. Those are just some ideas though. It's YOUR body so you choose how you want to dress it.Dress%20Like%20a%20Girly%20Skater%20Step%201.jpg
  2. Get a good personality. When most people think of skaters, you usually think of impolite, improper, and "lazy". When you think of girly-girls, you usually think of proper, nonathletic, and always wears pink. Is that what you have to be? NO. Those are just stereotypes. Your personality isn't something you should try to change. After all, its what makes you yourself.Dress%20Like%20a%20Girly%20Skater%20Step%202.jpg
  3. Get the hobbies. Well, skate boarding is definitely something you should start to try. Doing what you like is important too. If you love soccer, but your friends say that girly-girls don't play soccer then who cares? You can do what you like. But keep in touch with your feminine side. Don't act like a gorilla one minute then be a princess the next. People will think you are bi-polar.Dress%20Like%20a%20Girly%20Skater%20Step%203.jpg
  4. Be prepared to be teased a bit. Kids, teens, and even adults act really stupid sometimes. Some will look at you funny and some might even "bully" you. But if that's the case, you shouldn't let it bother you. Your fashion/personality should be a reflection of you. If other people don't like it then oh well. There will always be someone who doesn't like you, but that shouldn't stop you at all.Dress%20Like%20a%20Girly%20Skater%20Step%204.jpg
