Being a lawyer is one of the most respected jobs in America today, well, besides being a doctor. One important thing is to look your best. Whether you are dressing for a real trial, a school mock trial project, or you just want to look professional, this is the wiki how for you my friend!
Steps
-
Find out what you are dressing up for. You would dress differently for a school project than you would for a real trial.
-
For a male in a real trial. .. I suggest a suit and nicely colored or patterned tie. Dress shoes are a nice touch.
-
For a female in a real trial. .. I suggest a pencil skirt or slacks and a collared shirt (optional: covered by a nice colored blazer)
-
For a male in a mock trial. .. I suggest a nice shirt and pants will do. Nice shoes are suggested but not mandatory.
-
For a female in a mock trial. .. a nice skirt or pants and a pretty shirt.
-
Now, if you are going to a real trial and are attending as a lawyer, but have no experience. . GO TO LAW SCHOOL MY FRIEND!
Tips
- Brightly colored blazers, skirts, tights, and ties can be appropriate in CERTAIN situations and can add flare to your attire... be sure to make sure you know when it's appropriate or not.
Warnings
- Bright colors may not always be the best choice when wanting to look professional. Mock trials would be a semi appropriate time to be bold. A real court room would not.
