Do you want to be a Gypsy or Fortune Teller for Halloween or a costume party? If so, then this article is for you.
Steps
-
First, acquire a turban. Black is a good color to get for this. If you don't want to bother with a turban for the whole night, wrap a plain red scarf around your head.
-
Next, get a long skirt, preferably with a bohemian type motif. The skirt should reach your ankles.
-
After that, buy a shirt that looks like it could be part of a pirate costume. Many costume shops sell these. If you have a loose, white, cottony blouse, that will work as well.
-
Get a thick brown belt. Wear your skirt high-waisted, and tuck your shirt into it. Wrap the belt around where the skirt meets the shirt.
-
Brown boots are excellent footwear for a fortune teller/gypsy costume.
-
Add large, chunky necklaces, but not too many or it will look tacky. Make sure it matches your clothes and that there are not very bright.
-
Brown bracelets or anything that matches the theme (beads are a good choice for bracelets too) around your wrists.
-
Finally, rings. Nothing with a big stone, just plain metal that looks authentic.
-
For makeup, add eyeliner and blush. For your costume, depending on the color and other variables, red lipstick may look good.
-
Finally, items like tarot cards complete the look.
