How to Dress up Any Plain Outfit
When you look in your closet for something different to wear, something with a little bit more 'dressy' look to it and not so plain, a few simple changes will make you look like a celebrity without trying too hard or spending too much.
Find an outfit that you usually feel comfortable wearing. If you usually wear your capris with a sweat shirt, wear them instead with a rock band glitzy t-shirt and some ballet flats.
Apply the makeup. This is optional, some people don't like makeup, and that's okay. Use your regular foundation, add some soft blush, mascara and lip gloss. Don't forget to use eyeliner, as it really can make the eyes stand out, without trying too hard.
Style your hair. Your hair is what catches people's attention. Do something different, like scrunching it or pulling it back into a faux hawk. Or a simple sleek ponytail will work with some pieces of hair framing your face. A fancy barrette will look great and be an eye catcher.
Add accessories. You can accessorize the outfit with a matching purse (big ones are in) and with a sparkly belt. Add a necklace to almost any shirt and it will automatically add pizazz.
- Be yourself!
- Be confident.
- Don't be afraid to stand out.
- Don't wear a necklace, earrings, bracelets, and rings all at the same time. A good rule is if you have a lot of bracelets on, skip the rings. If you have big earrings on, skip the necklace.
